Ichika (一華) is a character in Yasuke. She is the adoptive mother of Saki.
Appearance[]
Ichika is a young woman with long black hair usually tied up in a bun with two sticks.
Personality[]
Ichika was supposed to look after Saki, however, she took a liking to her and escaped with her in order to save her.
Plot[]
Abraham put Ichika to take care of Saki, however, eventually Ichika ran away taking Saki with her.
She started living with Saki in a small village, acting as her mother and working in a bar as singer. As Saki's powers grew, she started to become more ill and Ichika decided to take her to a special doctor. Per Ichiro's suggestion, she asks Yasuke to take her north, but he refuses as its too dangerous. Having no choice, Ichika still decides to go with Saki, however, Yasuke had changed his mind and takes them with his boat.

While traveling upstream, the river freezes and four mercenaries attack them. While Yasuke fights them, one of them, Nikita, is about to attack Yasuke and Ichika steps in, pushing her away. Haruto blasts Ichika's left arm, causing Saki to unleash her power and knock everyone.

Ichika is from Iga clan and is capable fighter.
Etymology[]
- The name Ichika means "one" (一) (ichi) and "flower, petal" (華) (ka).
