Haruto (ハルト) or HRT is a mecha character in Yasuke. He is a Power armor mecha and part of a mercenary group hired by Abraham to find Saki.
Appearance[]
Haruto is a large yellow robot with small head and text on his chest reading "Haruto Prototype 00001"
Personality[]
Haruto has a simple and sometimes "slow" AI, realizing the jokes or insults a bit later. He likes his teammates and often shares his vision on how to become better, which usually irritates others, especially Ishikawa.
Plot[]
Haruto's group find Saki and Haruto freezes the river to stop them. They are surprised to see that Yasuke is black, making Haruto wonder if Achoja and Yasuke are related. As they fight him, Haruto shoots Ichika's arm, which causes Saki to use her power and knock everyone.
Nikita manage to track Yasuke and Saki back to the village and they find Yasuke in a bar. Abraham tells them to capture Yasuke alive, but wanting to get payback for his broken nose, Achoja attacks Yasuke with a blade, but Haruto stops him. While they fight Yasuke, Ishikawa deflects a bottle with alcohol that lands on Haruto and causes him to malfunction and go out of control and shoot everywhere. Nikita knocks him back to normal and they eventually defeat and capture Yasuke.
While Abraham tortures Yasuke, Nikita takes Haruto with her and they go find Saki. Haruto decides to use his infra vision, but is unable to make it work. Saki uses her power to escape, but Haruto manages to corner her on a rooftop. To his surprise she manages to escape, but he fails to see which wagon of fish she got on and they loose track of her.
Eventually, they track her, but using her power she captures Haruto and Nikita and makes them lead her to Abraham. Saki uses Haruto's power to freeze Achoja and Ishikawa, and then with Yasuke's help kills Abraham. Achoja takes their payment from Abraham's corpse and leave Yasuke and Saki to freely leave. Yasuke and saki come to an agreement to go to the special doctor ichika promised to take saki to.
When they arrive it turns out that the doctor is actually a trainer, and that Ichika actually wanted to have saki trained to use her abilities to the fullest. After a short while, the dark army invades the village where they were at and begins to attack, just when it seemed that all hope was lost the mercenary group that haruto was with appeared and started to help, with Haruto striking down many enemies using his cannon and ice cannon. They won the battle and everyone started to relax and started planning for what was next, Haruto started chatting with isikawa and suddenly she fell off the wall she was sitting on. Haruto exclaimed that his signals showed that she was dead followed by a "friend?". More arrows rained down and everybody took cover. Haruto was enraged and commenced his self destruct sequence and blew up more than half of the enemy dark soldiers.
Haruto decides to self-destruct
Haruto and his group receive a telepathic message from Saki, offering them double play if they come and help. The mercenaries agree and join Yasuke in their fight against the Dark Army. Ishikawa tells Haruto that she doesn't mind killing people with friends and realizes she considers Haruto a friend, which makes Haruto happy. Haruto's radar then picks multiple targets and suddenly Ishikawa becomes silent and falls down. Achoja wonders what happened and then sees Ishikawa with an arrow in her head. A rain of arrows then falls down and Haruto protects Ishikawa's body with his. Yasuke and the rest see that even larger army is approaching. Haruto gets angry that his friend is dead and flies off. He actives his self-destruct mode and heads towards the army, causing a huge explosion.
Power & Abilities[]
Haruto is equipped with variety of weapons. He is able to shoot a freezing canon and has a laser gun. His legs have jet engines, allowing him to lift off and levitate.

- The name Haruto is written in katakana (ハルト), which has no special meaning.
